This is an easy to fit 'open backed' kit consisting of vertical and horizontal sections to create high "boot room" style panelling with a thick 18mm shelf and 18mm corbels as shown in examples in the pictures.
We use superior quality Medite branded moisture resistant MDF in our kits- not cheap DIY grade MDF- this results in a much smoother finish and egde which is ideal for decorative purposes. For a perfect finish we also prime and sand the facings and edges on the kit so they are easy to paint the final colour.
The design of the panelling is "boot room" style with two rows of symmetrical recessed squares over vertical recessed rectangles. The square recessed sizes are bespoke for each order but pictures show between 22cm and 28cm. Adjustments are possible for any other sizes, contact us if you need bespoke sized panels.
Width sizes: There are options to get instant price quotes for common widths from 1.5m to 5.5m but we can of course do wider kits than this and bespoke sizes so please contact us to request a quote.
If your size falls between widths simply order the next size up and we will make a bespoke sized kit for your specific wall width.
The height of the panelling is 165cm high as standard but we can make other heights on special request for you.
Comes with a fantastic 16cm wide x 18mm thick shelf, supported by 14cm curved handmade period corbels.
We use special dowel fixings to fix the corbels to the kit for a seamless finish.
We include free antique style brass hooks and nameplates for a quirky traditional look.
The kit is supplied with in sections and the design can be adjusted to increase the width and height of the kit easily to fit your wall and requirements.
This panelling is 'open backed' and is designed to be fixed to a smooth plastered wall using a grab or similar adhesive. The wall surfacr is still visible through the panelling recesses. The wall and panel sections are then painted all the same colour to give the impression the panel recesses are 'carved out' of the wall. Joins between panel sections are very small and can be easily filled and sanded for a seamless look, as shown in the pictures. This panelling kit is very easy to install as we can make specifically for your wall sizes and we provide very detailed instructions.
This panelling can be installed above existing skirting to smooth walls.
