This is an easy to fit 'open backed' kit consisting of vertical and horizontal sections to create 3/4 or 1/2 height batten & rail style wall panelling as shown in examples in the pictures.

We use superior quality Medite branded moisture resistant MDF in our kits- not cheap DIY grade MDF- this results in a much smoother finish and egde which is ideal for decorative purposes. For a perfect finish we also prime and sand the facings and edges on the kit so they are easy to paint the final colour.

The design of the panelling is a Batten & Rail style with vertical battens and with a decorative moulding on the battens. The gaps between the vertical battens is custom but the pictures show between 38cm and 45cm and feature a decorative moulded detail.

You will find sizing for different standard wall widths- if you walls are slightly different then no problem, simply order the nearest width size to your wall and then give us the exact width you will need. Measure in mm or cm please. If you require a wider wall than the sizes listed then contact us for a quote.

The height of the panelling is 140cm as standard (which is about the right height to be a headboard) but we can make shorter *cheaper of course, or **taller for not a lot more money. Contact us if you need a different height.

The kit is supplied with in sections and the design can be adjusted to increase the width and height of the kit easily to fit your wall and requirements.

This panelling is 'open backed' and is designed to be fixed to a smooth plastered wall using a grab adhesive, PVA or similar adhesive. The wall is still visible through the panelling. The wall and panel sections are then painted all the same colour to give the impression the panel recesses are 'carved out' of the wall. Joins between panel sections are very small and can be easily filled and sanded for a seamless look, as shown in the pictures.

This panelling can be installed above existing skirting to smooth walls.
